Garner Abstract & Land Co. was established in 1891, as one of the first businesses in Uvalde, Texas. Our base plant is the original sovereign Uvalde County title plant, with an extensive historical file base kept up-to-date — and named for original owner, former U.S. Vice President John Nance Garner.

Owner John Dodson purchased Garner Abstract & Land Co. in December 2015 to start building a network of title operations serving families and businesses across Texas. Raised as a rancher and educated as a lawyer, his legal specialty in land transactions — combined with deep community ties — brings unmatched expertise to every file.

Our roots in ranching agriculture, combined with a legal background in real estate transactions, provide unique expertise in large land sales. Our personable, discreet team ensures sensitive transactions remain efficient and professional.
